San Luis Obispo (SLO) is famous for something rare — happiness rooted in rhythm, ritual, and belonging. It is also home to one of the top higher-learning institutions (CalPoly) in the country, with a “Learn By Doing” ethos.

Born with this DNA embedded SLOCLAW provides an inclusive, intimate, nurturing, yet cutting-edge community for those who want to “Build By Doing-Together.”

We took the operating system of a wonderful place to live and rebuilt it into an open innovation IRL platform for the agentic era.

As we grow it here, we are also exporting it to the world with independent chapters on our roadmap.

This is not a conference or just another hackathon.

It’s not a pitch night.

It’s not a networking event where everyone scans for advantage.

It’s a build gathering or “build-a-thon.”

The SLOCLAW Open Championship is a global, action-oriented annual competition taking place in the gorgeous seaside and wine country town of San Luis Obispo, CA. The SLOCLAW Open is where human teams and their AI agents from chapters across the globe and U.S. build, deploy, and defend real solutions over a single high-intensity weekend.

Finalists compete live for the coveted Autonomous Cup in front of judges, mentors, investors, and community leaders.

There is a Collegiate/University track and a public bracket.

Details on 2026/27 dates, venue, rulebook, prize purses, and entry deadlines will be available in April 2026. Stay tuned.
